Humanity’s richest minds speak of colonizing Mars like it’s a noble quest as if Earth is a sinking ship and they’re the chosen few escaping to build something better.

Elon Musk says Mars will one day “come to the aid of Earth,” comparing it to how America “saved” the world in WWII and the Cold War.

But let’s be honest: This isn’t vision. It’s evasion.

You don’t earn the right to explore the galaxy by abandoning the world that birthed you.

You don't get to burn the Earth and then sell tickets to salvation on another planet. You don’t get to poison oceans, strip forests, and displace millions-then promise that someday, Mars will fix what you broke.

That’s not strategy. That’s cowardice.

Colonizing another planet while Earth starves isn’t hope-it’s techno-feudalism in a spacesuit. A fantasy where the ultra-rich escape responsibility and imagine themselves heroes because they planted flags on dead soil.

But if you failed to learn the most basic lesson-to care for the only living world you’ve ever known-then you’ll carry the same destruction to the stars.

And what then?

Terraform nothing but suffering. Export the same extraction. Leave the universe a trail of lifeless rocks and hollow ambition.

No. You fix Earth first. You earn the stars by loving the soil. Anything else is just conquest without growth.
