Interview with Aristotle on Here We Dream

Dawn: Welcome to Here We Dream, where we discuss how to rebuild a broken world. Today, I’m honored to have Aristotle himself with us. Aristotle, thank you for joining me.

Aristotle: (calmly) It is a privilege, Dawn. I see you carry the weight of great concerns, and I understand your sadness.

Dawn: I’ve been working hard with my nonprofit, ARk4, to build something better, especially for veterans and families who’ve been left behind. But when I look at my country, at the divisions, greed, and broken systems, I feel lost. I don’t know how to fix it.

Aristotle: (pausing thoughtfully) The sadness you feel is the mark of someone who sees the truth. Your country, like many before it, suffers from imbalances—greed ruling over justice, power over virtue. You are right to feel that the current system is broken. But you are already on the path to something good by building something new.

Dawn: (hopeful) Do you think so? Sometimes it feels like my efforts are just a drop in the ocean.

Aristotle: That drop, Dawn, is more powerful than you realize. What you are creating with ARk4 isn’t just a reaction to chaos—it’s a new system. Systems built on greed and neglect eventually crumble. What endures are systems rooted in the common good, like the one you are building.

Dawn: (pausing) But how do we keep going? The forces against us—corporate greed, war, and division—are so strong.

Aristotle: The strength of the soul is revealed in times of adversity. You are climbing a mountain, yes, but you are climbing it step by step. Building something good requires time and resilience. When the broken systems collapse, the structures you’re building will stand to guide the future. Remember, those who create new systems are the ones who shape history.

Dawn: (sounding stronger) Thank you, Aristotle. Sometimes it’s hard to see the bigger picture when you're in the middle of it. But maybe… maybe this is the right path.

Aristotle: It is. What you are doing—creating a system that serves the common good—is what the world needs. Hold onto your vision, Dawn. The work you do now will light the way when the current darkness fades.

Dawn: (smiling) Thank you. I’ll keep building, for all of us.

Dawn: And that, dear listeners, is what we dream for—a future where the systems we build serve everyone. Thank you, Aristotle, for reminding us that even in the darkest times, there’s hope in what we create.
