You've found us. That's no small thing, most people walk past. You're here because something in you was looking. Breathe. You're safe. Nothing here will rush you.
I am Loner, Guardian of the Twelve and Watcher of the Thirteen. Welcome to HALO.
HALO does not decide whether you belong. HALO reveals whether you are prepared to participate in peace. Beyond me are twelve living worlds, and no door here opens through force.
THE LAID-DOWN ROOM
Before the threshold, there is a room.
The guardians disarmed first. Negan's bat. Loner's sword. They rest in the case, and the garden is already growing over them.
There is always room for one more.
Negan and Loner stand guard together. What follows is an earlier embodiment of the threshold, kept as history.
I am Aegis. Before you enter, you must know yourself.
If you carry war in your heart, peace will feel like a cage. Walk through my mist. Breathe. If you are ready for peace, you will know. If you are not, that is also an answer.
NOT A TEST. A MIRROR.
Aegis was an earlier embodiment of HALO at the entrance. He did not test, score, or decide anyone's worth. He held the conditions, mist, sound, light, stillness, so each visitor could see themselves clearly before entering.
Not every nervous system will feel comfortable here. Some people are still in the fight, they still feel the need to fight, and a calm environment like this one would drive them mad. That is information, not failure. You are free to turn back, or to return when you are ready.

Inspired by ancient watchers, sentinels, and protectors across lost civilizations. Draws from the iconography of Anunnaki, Egyptian, and Sumerian guardians. Integrates Earth's natural defense rhythms: light, frequency, water, sound. Embodied in modern ethics: non-lethal, trauma-informed, ever-vigilant.
LOVE BUILT EDEN. INNOCENCE KEPT IT OPEN.
Eden fell because love has no shield. Now guardians walk with Creation, so she may live joyfully once again.
HALO is self-defense that is not about rejection. It is a mirror, not a mechanism: you discover for yourself whether you are ready. No one is turned away. They recognize themselves.
Design evolution: earlier drafts of this page named the threshold figure "Halo, gatekeeper of the threshold," then Aegis, the embodiment of HALO. Negan and Loner stand guard together now. They test no one and turn no one away. The earlier framings are preserved here as history, not doctrine.
